September U.-This being the fifth anniversary of the death of the late President William McKinley. thous ands made the pilgrimage to his tomb to day, decorating it with flowers until it re sembled a bank of flowers. Carnations, the favorite flowers of the lata president, came in profusion. Mrs. McKinley visited the tomb early in the morning and laid fresh flowers on the sarcophagus. Gifts of flowers were sent by distinguished per sons from all parts of the country. Among them were some from President Roose velt, Secretary of Agriculture Wilson, Justice Day and many others.
