Miss Alma Harris left Saturday for Pendleton where she will again teach in the Pendleton public schools. Tom Williams has been e lected as High school teacher in Union and left last even ing to accept his position. Maud Clements left this morning for Walla Walla, where she will resume her work in Wh'tman college. Mrs. A. Lueban, who has been visiting at the Joe Pollman home, returned to her home in Seattle this morning. George Hanson, Jr., now a business man of North Powder, is transacting bus iness in the city today. Mrs. Levi Ciessman of the Dalles who has been visiting her cousin Mrs. T. B Johnson returned home last evening. Mrs. J. J. Carr who has been visiting friends and relatives at Portland and vic inity returned home yesterday morning. J. W. Earls, representing the Baker City Marble Works left this morning on a tour of Wallowa county. Miss Naomi Williamson, of La Grande is the guest ot Mr, and Mrs. iiiorConio this week. Lostine Democrat.
