Monday afternoon. As this date is
holiday, a large crowd of citizens young
and old, will no doubt gather to witness
the last game of the season. It has been
a long time now since an exhibition of
ball tossing has been seen within our
gates, and here will be a chance for lovers
of the game to put in store something to
think about the coming game when the
word baseball is mentioned.

the number of entries the parade will be
larger and more interesting than last
year. The number of prizes donated by
the various hotels and many of the
wealthy summer residents of Asbbury
Park is also larger than ever before and
there will be keen competition for the
principal prizes.
In the evening will be Children's night
at the casino. Under the musical direc
tion of Director Morgan. "A Nieht in
Fairyland" will be produced in the most
gorgeous and brilliaut style and on a
magnificent scale. One thousand children
dressed in white, will sins and drill and
an elaborate program will be executed.

Meridan, Conn. Aug. 31 As in former
years Grandma Elizabeth Hunt, said to
be the oldest woman on Long Island,
came to Meridan, where many of her
relatives live, to spend her birthday. Mrs.
Hunt, who is still comparatively strong
and vigorous, was born 10? years ago at
Lancaster Pa. In 1827, she went to
Brooklyn and lived there until her husband
ied in 1858, when she removed to Mid-
dletown, Conn. After a few years she
returned to Brooklyn and ha9 lived there
ever since, bhe worked hard until she
was ninety years old.

105th birthday with her numerous relat
ives and friends in this town. She is still
quite vigorous for her age and enjoys her
mental faculties to a remarkable degree.
