Architects opened here today with a large
attendance of members and delegates Z
from all parts of the world. This is the T
first time that an international congress
of architects is held in an English-speak- j X

The United States is well represented

OPINING THE SHOSHONE RESERVATION

Lander, Wyo., July 1 6, The books for
the registration of prospective settlers on
the Shoshone Reservation, to be opened
up to settlement next month, were opened
here today. This reservation, which con'
tains about 1,600.000 acres of land, is
located in the basin of the Big Horn river,
about 150 miles of the Crow reservation,
which has also been thrown open to sett
lers. Books have also been opened at
Shoshone, Thermopolis and Wordland and
the drawing of sites will take place here
on August 4.

of cattle, horses, and fowls that the ord
inance prohibiting certain animals and
fowls running at large within the city,
from and after this date, July 1 1th, 1906
will be strictly enforced.
No animal is permitted to be on the
streets or alleys without being securely
fastened with a rope or chain or directly
under the control of a person capable of
handling said animal while being driven
through the streets.
The owner or party in charge of an
animal is liable to be fined $25 or 1 0
days imprisonment. The animal may be
impounded and the owner is liable for
ail damage sustained by any person.
