church was overflowing with merriment
and good .cheer, that is. thre, were - over
150 members of the Sundiy school -and
their parents who , had assemlileiij lo
partake of the good things which the
Blues had prepared for them.
This was the culmination , of a three
months contest for new scholars between
the two divisions, the Reds and the BlJes.
It was very satisfactory, resulting in the
addition of forty eight new members and
otherwise creating renewed enthusiasm
in the entire school. f

Boise, July 13 -Charles Burtch.J Jr., the
two-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs.'rChaiiles
A. Burtch of South Boise, was drowned
about 6:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon
in a small irrigating ditch which runs
through the back yard of the Uurtchhome
His body was discovered by an older
sister within three minutes of the time he
fell in the ditch, but all efforts to resusci
tate the little follow proved unavailing.
