busily engaged upon the construction of
a commodious residence for B. F. Bell.
The strawberry season is now at its
height. The crop is rather short and
prices continue high.
James Weaver assumed charge of the
Cove Union st ge route Monday at pres
ent he is making two trips daily on account
of so much fruit shipping. Mrs. Weaver
carries the mail over to Imbler.
Miss Stella Severs left Friday for
Seattle, where she will' take a "special
teachers course.
Mr. Hoatsod has completed the erection
of a fine barn on his property east of town.
Mrs. S. L Corpe has returned from
a weeks visit with realatives and friends
at Summer villu and Alicel.
Cove farmers are completing the
harvesting of their aKalfa crop. The yield
is reported good.
Mrs. Julet Doughtery has returned from
Union where she has been the guest of
Mrs. Rufus Wright,

Dudly Richards who has been at work
in Wallowa for several months returned
home.
