SAN FRANCISC0-S FIRE
The Spokane Chronicle hat the follow
ing to fay of the moving pictures exhibit
ed in Spokane recently:
Yesterday afternoon the first perform
ance of the moving pictures of the San
Francisco fire and the ruins of the strick
en city was shown at the Columbia theater.
The portrayal of the hovac wrought by
the earthquake was vivid and pleased the
audience.
The moving views of the fire itself,
said to be the only authentic ones secured,
are good, and by closely watching the
pictures the spectator gets a good idea of
conditions as they existed in ths Cali
fornia metroplis at the time of the devas
tation by fire and eaitnquake. Tne per

FIRE VIEWS.
What the Spoksman-Reviaw says:
"One gets a vivid idea of the ruin wrought
by earthquake and fire at San Francisco
from the moving pictures on exhibition at
the Columbia theatre yesterday afternoon.
Scenes in various parts of the city were
shown, block after block where once
stood large commercial houses or palatial
residences now filled with piles of brick
and stone or the ashes of the frame
structures. The camps where refugees
are sheltered in tents, the lines of people
in the bread line waiting their turn to be
served, the recovery and earring away
of the bodies of some who were killed by
the falling buildings, portraits of General
Qreely and General Funston and other
pictures serve to illustrate what the dis
aster meant and what has been done in
the way of relief and restoration." The
pictures will be shown at Stewart Opera
House for two nights starting Tuesday
June 19th.

It is not enough that this shall merely
be a good show; it must be the best and
give entire satisfaction to the most ex
tracting. They attribute a large amount
of their business to the one great desire to
please the people. In fact, just like other
business, if you will deliver the goods you
will get the trade. Mr. Eiler, in selecting
people for his company prevailed hiving .

Giving Jefferson's version of Rip Van

paid to all t.ie minor details, with no mis
leading advertisements; so it is no wonder
they are meeting with such great sucess
and creating such a sensation everywhere
they appear. Besides seeing one of the
best American plays, high class vaude

the acts making a continousperfot .nance
A fine band and operatic orchestra is
also one of the features of Eiler's big Rip
