While the new primary law may have
its redeeming qualities, it' seems to us
that the provision for registering votes
at the last moment under blank "A" form
is a mistake. It leaves a loop hole for
the corrupt politician to rush in anybopy
and everybody to register, if he can wait
until time to vote then takes advantage
of the "blank" idea? In other words,

The fact that prohibition has carried
in this county came as a surprise to a
great many people. It shows the sentiment
of the County, as there was no organized
effort made for its adoption or rejection.
The prohibitionists had. arr anged for a
vigoro campaign but .for some reason
it was not carried out The liquor interest
believe that it would not be adopted and
made no fighf Prohibiten will become
effective as soon as the County Court
meets and makes order. The law requires
the County Judge to convene the Court
in special session for that purpose as
soon asii can be done. It does not allow
sixty days in which to consume the stock
on hand as it generally supposed. The
law should give a fair test, and every
effort made to see that prohibition does
