The young ladles of -.he Four Hundred
and One Club spent Monday evening
with Miss Moina Aikme. Five Hundred
was played and a back comb was won by
Miss Mayme Keith. This was one of
the regular meetings of the Club and as
usual a most pleasant evening was
spent.
The ladies of the Aid Society of the
Presbyterian church spent the afternoon
at the home of Mrs. Anson. Business
and sewing occupied their time.
Mrs. J. C. Culling will entertain the
ladies of the Five Hundred Club at her
home Thursday afternoon.
Miss Anson, Mrs. Robert Newlin and
Mrs. N. Molitor will entertain the evening

Friday evening.
NOTICE Of ANNUAL SCHOOL MEETING
Notice is hereby given to the legal
voters of School District No. 1 of Union
county. State of Oregon, that the Annual
meeting for said District will be held at
High Schcol building in said district to
begin at the hour of two o'clock p. m.
on the third Monday, being the 18th. day
of June A. D. 1906.
This meeting is called for the purpose
of electing one director to serve for five
years and the transaction of the business

guilty and he was discharded.
Today several civil cases will be beared
and disposed of but nothing of special
interest .
