meet today with a total of 67 points;
Washington 59; Idaho 19.
Kelly of Oregon won from Rex Smith
of Washington tha 100 yard dash, 10 1-6

Shirley Parker of Washing won the
distance race, also in the half mile
in 2: 14
McKinney of Oregon won the shot put
it feet 5 1-8 inches; Hug of Oregon 41
feet 5 inches; Reser of Washinton 59 feet
6 inches.
In the discus event Hug of Oregan won,
distance 108 feet.
Pole vault Moulton of Oregan won,
height 10 feet 6 inches. He holds the
world's interscholastic record at 1 1 feet
111-2 inches.
There were no finals in the 120 yard
high hurdles. Oregon men only qualified.
Oregon won the places in tha hammer
throw: Hug 162 feet 4 1-2 inches; Mo
Kinney and Moulton second and third.
Fourth Broad Jump Friasell gave a
surprise to his friends with 25 feet 1 1-2
inches. Kelley was confident of breaking
tha World' record. . -

BETZEL A STAR-IN NAMPA
Frank Betzel who left La Qrande to join
tha Nampa, Idaho, team, ha made good
in that town. Ha pitched a 1 5 inning gam
at Nampa Decoration bay aid won by a
score of 5 to 2. Betxel (truck out eleven
Caldwell men and allowed but five scatter
ing hits during tha gam.
: ISLAND OTT DINNER

The ladies of Island City will serve dinner
in the Russel Hall on election day, Monday
June 4th from half past eleven until two
o'clock. Com everybody. Bring your fam
ily and friends'and spend a social after
noon with ua. W will have a good dinner
and rest room in the Oregon Hotel all for
26 cts. The proceeds to help pay for new
