HORSE PARADE

Boston, Mass., May 81 The fourth
annual work horse parade, which is on
of Boston' most interesting annual events
will take place this afternoon on Com
mon wealth Avenue and judging from the
great intei est which the merchants and
horse owner of the city have taken in
the event It promises to be on a much
arger scale than ever before. Thi fea
ture ha the tupport of all horse lover,
at it ha a tendency to lead to a general
improvement in the condition and treat
ment of the working horse in the city.
Many valuable prizes and models will be
awarded, by the judges among whom are
some of the most prominent horsemen of
Boston. ' ' . :

coffee were served. Although a most
inclement evening the following were pre
sent and enjoyed a most delightful and

The ladies of the Neighborhood Club
met in their rooms Wednesday afternoon
to conclude the business of the club
for the year and the annual election of
officers. The following were elected for
the coming year:

sident, Mrs. A. T. Hill; Cor. Secretary,
Mrs. T. Oliver; Treasurer, Mrs.M. Maloy;
Librarian, Mrs. S. Ingle; Critic, First

Mrs. H. S. Cavanna; Director, Mrs. Geo.
Carpy; Delegates to State Federation of
Women's Clubs, Mrs. Geo. Carpy and
Mrs. H. S. Brenholts; Program Com

Malloy.
The club will close the year with an
afternoon affair which is bsing arranged,
the date to be stated soon. This coming
year the club will devote to the famous
Bay View course taking as their subjects
England, Scotland and Ireland.
