The audience at the opera house last night saw what was perhaps the best performance of the week by the Frazer theatre company. The play was full of mirth and comedy from start to finish and kept the house in continual laughter. "Nature s Nobleman" was the bill and was the best production of the week. To night it will be "In Old Virginia". This will be the last opportunity for theatre patrons to see this excellent company as the week s stand is now complete. . The entertainment to be given on Wed nesday evening is for one of the worthiest causes that could appeal to our citizens. Some months ago a Crowell cabinet of physical apparatus was purchased for the school taught by Mr. Hockenberry. The cost of the cabinet was $160. Half of this has been paid through the gener osity of our citizens. It is hoped that the remainder will be secured through this entertainment," . The apparatus Will always be here for the use oi uui peoplt. ' " . In this practical age few thing can. be of more use to the average boy and gir than the study of physics. A knowledge of the forces of nature is almost an abso lute necessity to every one. Without apparatus it is almost impossible to teach the subject successfully. Two of the young men of the school have already by aid of this apparatus performed more than 500 experiments successfully. The entertainment itself will be one of the best ever given here by local talent The diagram will be open Tuesday morn ing, OREGOIV vu Union Pacific IlKPABT Tim Bchertol LA UHAMDK, OR rKOal No. 8.40 u ' M.
