The doctor then called for cripples on
crutches and R. M., Oliver responded.

years from that giant disease, rheuma

sticks and great difficulty and pain. : '
He was operated on with medicine
twenty minutes and walked off the stage
free from pain and stiffness, followed by
the wondering crowd, while the doctor
broke his sticks on the stage. To say the
audience was astonished and wild would
be putting it mildly. The doctors were
warmly congratulated. It seemed like a
dream but it was real. Ministers and
doctors were in the audience, and they
seemed as well pleased as any.
