The girls' basket ball team Dlaved their
first game of this season In the gymnas
ium Wednesday evening at 4:B0. Their
opponents were the ladies of the Facultv

girls' basket ball, ae the Faculty ladies
only succeeded in throwing one goal in the
twenty-nve minutes during which the
game continued, and that was an acci
dent The girls played all around the

a renewal of Interest of the girls of the
College in the game of basket ball and
may be attributes to the recent decision
of the Faculty which allows the Whitman
team to play games with outside institu
tions provided that the game shall be
played in the Whitman gymnasium and
thafthe speotators shall be limited to a
list approved by the Faculty end no one
will be allowed to be present whose name
is not on this list and who ha not recei v
ed a special Invitation.' It Is probable
