scene of tenderest beauty: abounds in
wholesome comedy and is replete with
tiking effect and stirring situation.
A car load of handsome and elaborate
cenery is carried for this production and
each of the four act are staged in the
most elaborate and complete manner, the
third act is particular being the most
complicated and heaviest ever provided
for a drama to be taken entour.
RITT-HELSOtt PICTURES
Judging from the clearness and per
feitnn of the Britt-Nelson fight peture.
the air of California must be unequalled
for rntnorDhi6 purposes. Cl.mata, at
mosphere and sunlight hv a great deal
to do with the clearness and beauty cf
such picture. No Jch p ewres as' in.
Britt-Neison series have ever been shown
before, and the atmospheric conditions
must have had a great deal to do with
caused Mr. Dunn some inconvience and
Mr. Joseph Detrich as Mr. Dunn, acquit
ted himself very favorably in his efforts
to outdo Ananias. Miss Harper as Niobe,
the statute, was exceptionally fine. The
whole performance was well given, each
member of the troupe being capable of
handling their part in a creditable manner.
The Howard in song and dance sketches
were also pleasant feature of the per.
formance between act.
Tonight the great German probhm
play, "Magda" will be given. Thi after
noon a matinee. Happy Hooligan, was
given.

fines averaging $16.
