Those who attended the performance
of the Great McEwert last night at
Steward's opera house had a laugh com
ing and many of them are still laughing
at the comic antics of the hypnotic sub
jects and are still wondering how some
of his magic tricks were done.
, The house was comfortably fiiled with
an appreciative audience. ' The opening
of the program was wholly magic. As a
palmist McEwen has few equals. His
card and coin tricks were especially in
teresting and mystifying. The floating
lady, whether it be mechanical, magnetic
or hypnotic, is indeed a clever act
' Hypnotism offers a wide field for ex
periments, and McEwen certainly avails
himself of the opportunity. Twelve
young men volunttered their assistance
and as a result the audience almost went
into hysterics laughing at their antics.
Tonight many of the same young men wiI
be on the stage and will be placed into a
cateleptic state. These experiments
promise to be more interesting than those
o last n:ght.
