The Chriatain Herald, one of the best

The world in general has reason to be
thankful, because of the fact that we
have a peace universal and the nations of
the earth, generally speaking, are reason
ably prosperous and happy. The Ameri
can people in particular have occ-sbn to
rejoice in the fact that, for the first time
in many years, tney have a President who
doe not hesitate to ferret out criminals
in his own official family, and to punish
crime in high places wherever found,
without fear or favor. That governors of

public office a a public trust, and are
fearlessly enforcing the law and punishing
violator thereof. If such Presidents,

cease to rob the widow and the orphan,
and refrain from using trust funds to
corrupt legislatures and debauch the vot
ers of the country. .
