Seventy-eight thousand, five hun rjd and thirty-three dollars and eighteen cents were paid over to Sheriff Taylor this morning by the O. R.& N. Company in, settlement of their bagk taxes as per the agreement reached last Saturday between the county court and representatives of the company. The above payment was made by "Colonel J. H. Raley, local attorney for the company and it is the largest sum of money that hai ever been paid into the county at any one time. To Aid President Atlantic City. N. The meeting adopted the following resolution: Resolved, That we favor the admis sion of Arizona as a state in the Union upon such terms as congress may grant even accepting annexation of New Mexico, rather than remain any longer in a terri torial condition."
