La' Grande is goini to tave a
diitrict fair and . no mistake
The program is one of tba best
ever prepared, and the list of
attraction will be better than
ever The director are leaving
nothing undone which will in
in any way make the meeting
mere attractive or inteiesting.
If you have anything which
will be of interest be sure and
have it read f for the fair.
Within less than two weeks
the La Grauda public schools
will open their doors to the
hundreds of school children and
the school year will have com
menced. This even does not
alone concern the children, but
is of vast importance to the
citizens in gnueral. Every pat
ron of the schools should make
it a point to visit the schools
and thereby encourage the
teachers and to the children.
The teachers .will welcome you,
and after you are once within
the school room and see how
the school is being conducted
you will enjoy the visit. Make
up yjur mind to visit the school
at least once each term daring
tbe coming year, xou will find
that it will be time well spent"

MEAT CHEAP
But not Cheap Meat
Having purchased the Bock
& Thomas shons and -also the
suit Market, we are in position,
wnu the tbrej shops, to furnish
our patrons with choice meats
at a less price than if. we had
only one shop. It is not our
inteution to raise the price of
meat:!, but it is our intention to
reduce the prio , aud thereby
hope to increase our trade.
A trial order will convince you
of the assertion.
