picked np and carried to a hospital,
where he lingered for tome time, long
enough to tell what he knew abont the
attempted mnrder, and then died.

find them. Through the effiolent work
of the Baker County Sheriff and hla
deputies Devling wai located at Oren
born and an officer hurried from New
York with the necceeaary papers and

Devling has been working in the
Greenhorn district for aome time and
while there conducted himself above
suspicion. He will remain In the
county Jail until the necesaary paper
are made out when ha will be taken
back to New York.
