with receiving gold ore, knowing it to
be stolen, siz aatayers of the cripple
creek district have been placed under
heavy bonds. It is alleged that the
assayere cleared thirty thousand dol

that a million dollars worth of ore is

Reports received here last night are
to the effect that a freight train com
ing: into Umatilla from t e west yes
terday alter noon was wrecked at the
west end of the bridge, jist at the
west and of the yards. The train ran

turned over, but the fireman and en
gineer escaped Injury by jumping.
