pendicular face of the cliff, a (eat
which has never yet been accomplished.

breath, Bailey sitting on a narrow
shelf and Utaats clinging to the face
of the rock below. Without a word
Bailey began to slide, shooting down
ward a few feet of 8taat's lef 1. He fell

head several times before ha disap

Men were lowered' by a tope six
hundred feet and brought the corps
to a point where It ' could be carried
l,y a horse to the wagon road. Tne
body was badly mangled and most of
