sociation which will be known as tbe
Grande fionde Stockgrowers Protec
tive Association ." This association ia
made necessary from the fact that
stock "metiers" have been operating
in this valley to an extent which calls
for some stringent regulations. It is
firmly believed that this association
will take the proper steps to at . least
cause tbe stock stealing business . to
bj somewhat dangerous as well as in
teresting. The Association djea not
inteud to leave any stone unturned
which will in any way . impede . the
successful progress of the - class ol
men who make life a burden to the
honest stock grower.
Every oase of stock loss will ' be re
ported to tbe Association and no ex
pense will be spared to ferret, out and
discover tbe cause of the lots and J the
parties responsible for tbe loss. If it
thought by' the . Association that
stock has been stolen, or run off the
range tbe poisons found to be respon
sible will receive prompt attention at
