daily to the coursing grounds at
Fresno and San Francisoe. Mr Carl
ton has a force of tour men and two
teams engaged in rounding op tbs
rabbits on Butter creek and 1 bringing
them to tewn for shipment.
The rabbits are shipped by " express
in wooden crates in six sections, one
rabbit to a section. For each o! them
delivered at the depot ha receives . 60
cents, which makes the industry a re
munerative one. The shipments have
been made for the past two weeks and
will continue ontil the coursing sea
son closes. -

the sohooner Onward of Parkersburg
Ore. , in attempting to sail over the
Coquille bar missed the entrance and
struck on the beach. .

Boise Ib 28 Senators Macbeth of
Ouster, and Nugent of Idaho have In
troduced an anti bribery measure that
is regarded as one of the most effective
that baa ever been drawn ia this coun
try. It is a copy of a bill now pend
ing before the ' Missouri senate,' the
house of that state having passed It
by a vote of 120 to 1. It was recoom-
mended, and, it is said, drafted by
Governor Folk, whose fight against
corruption In tbs official circles of his
state has made him a national charac
ter. The following are the provisions
of tbe bill!
"Section I. No person, shall be ex
owed from testifying or producing do

in any criminal cause or proceeding

could be gleaned by any one, and , it
