System
The Pscifio States Telephone Co. is
now working night and day installing
the nt w telephone system The new
switch board and the electric mortor
and generator has arrired and will
soen be in position. Carpenters are
now at work e-arraogiog the rooms
in the Foley building in six t r eight
weeks the new system will be in op
eration. When the change baa taken
plaee ihe patrons' of the office will
hardly be able to reoogoise the plare.
The new switch board will be so ar
ranged that any one opeiator will be
able to operate all parts of the beard
and will eb'e to know at all times II
the line is in working oder and il the
person calling has boeu answered. In
front of the operator it a number of
small electric lights which ao. as in
dicator. There will also bi a trouble
board with an attendant who can lo
cate all trouble on the line and direct
the linemen to the location of the
trouble. The chief operator also has
a twitch board which will enable ber
to have complete aooess to all the
lines at all timet and give ber an op
portunity to know just what service
the patrons of the line are receiving .
