Elgin, Oregon, Samuel B Burroughs
at the age of 71 years, 8 months and 2
days. He had been a patient sufferer
from Catarrb of head and throat for
several years and had been an Invalid
the last year. He was boro April 23,
1833, at Utiia, Llnooln county, OLlo,
and was married in Wayne county,
Iowa la the year ot 1838 to Miss El
mlra May. They were a childless
couple, lie was one of the early pio
neers ot this valley having come here
iu (he year of 13U3, having made his
home in Cove all the tlu e except the
last 12 years he has lived in Elgin
and vicinity. He leaves to mourn bis
loss an awed wife and a host of rela
tives and friends. Recorder.
