That by the terms of the said oertld - cate of deposit the said (10,360.00 was to bear Interest from th t date of such certificate at the rate of five per cent per annum, if the Batne should be left with the said bank for twelve months, and that said certificate should bear no Interest after twelve months from date thereof. That thereafter on about the 20th day of September, A. D., 1898, de fendant paid to plaintiff on account of interest upon said certificate of depoa it the sum of (235.00, and that there after on the 28th, day nf November, A. D., 1808, plaintiff . returned to de fendant the said oertlfloate of deposit properly endorsed, and defendant then and there paid to plaintiff the full sum of (10,350,00, together with the sum of (145-68, balance of interest thereon from the date of such oertlfl cate, and that Bald certificate was then and there by defendant oanoelled, ' .
