B Stoddard, manager of the sugar factory, atated this morning that he expected the factory would com mence on the new orop between tbe lOtb and 15th of September and that present prospects warranted the belief that the total yield of the valley would be 20,000 tnnB. This will be the largest yield in the history of the beet indust ry in this section and on a smaller acreage than hue heretofore been culti vated. One of the reaa ma assigned by Mr. Stoddard as tbe fact that about two th.rds of tbe acreage this year waa under irrigation and nearly all had been in the beet culture for several years. The factory Is now running on last year's ayrup.
