last week, we, by an error failed to print
the name of Hon J W McAlister who is
a candidate for the office of johitsenator
for this .and Wallowa eounty. This
omission was a mistake on our part and
not intentional. .
In tomorrows issue we will have a
carefully prepared article ahowing the
value from a market standpoint of the
products grown on the farm that is
consumed in the city of La Grande each
year and Is Increasing as our population
grows. The figures will be surprising
to not a few but they are correct. ..; ,
Water Suprlntendent Ulllman has

resivor and the city well. This is a geod
move and one which will meet with the
approval of the water consumers. By

system there will be less dificulty in
keeping the water In a good condition

with the Orpheus Concert company of
Australia to appear here Friday June 3
at Stewards Opera House. .This concert
company is considered the very best
musical company In the West and the
club is to be congratulated upon their
good fortune In being able to secure
them. The clubs good fortune is also
to the advantage of the general public
as all will share alike.- The time to
secure tickets is short and all who do
not wish to miss this real musicle treat
should arrange at once to attend.
