search efforts on Mt. Jefferson

for Zickel— a crevasse on
the Jefferson Glacier.
The Corvallis Moun-
tain Rescue Team ascend-
ed Mt. Jefferson to check
the crevasse, Baldridge
said.
The search mission
found no signs of Zickel,
and the team turned back
after a snowstorm hit the
mountain.
The Zickel’s case will
remain open until he is
found, and the sheriff’s
office will respond to any
new information regard-
ing his whereabouts.

Development Code Amendment to Amend the
Annexation Review Criteria of SDC 4.10.140 by
adding provisions that require a public need for
annexations, that there be a criteria regarding
the timeliness of an annexation and that it be
reasonable and in the public interest.
The
application will be reviewed following the
criteria found in SDC section 4.7.200.
All interested persons and the general public
will be given an opportunity to be heard relative
to the application either by submitting material
in writing to City Hall or providing oral
testimony at the Public Hearing. Failure of an
issue to be raised in a hearing, in person or by
letter, or failure to provide enough detail to
afford the decision maker an opportunity to
respond precludes appeal to LUBA based on
that issue.

Dona
Pembroke,
a longtime
resident of
Silverton,
Pembroke
died peace-
fully in her home Tuesday
morning, July 19, 2016.
Born March 4, 1946, in
Lamar, Colorado, Dona
was raised in Amarillo,
Texas, and settled in Ore-
gon in 1965.
She is preceded in
death by her daughter,
Shawna Davis, and her
five brothers. Dona is sur-
vived by two sisters, Alice
Savala and Shirley Wil-
liams; three daughters:
Michelle Scerini, Jerrie
Lynn Jones, and Cynthia
Hickman; nine grandchil-
dren and many great
grandchildren.
In her retirement
years, Dona enjoyed
cooking and gardening,
but mostly spending time
with her family and loved
ones. Dona was a dedicat-
ed mother and loving
grandmother. She will
truly be missed by her
loving family and friends.
A memorial service
will be held at 1 p.m. Aug.
21, 2016, at Howell Ed-
wards Doerksen Funeral
Directors, 1350 Commer-

Pamela A. Ross Brown
passed away on Aug. 6,
2016. She was born to Earl
and Lucile Ross on Jan. 13,
1944, at Silverton Hospi-
tal. She was a fourth gen-
eration Oregonian. She
graduated from Montior
Grade Shool and Silverton
High School. She married
Marvin G. Brown on June
12, 1965, in Silverton.
Family and friends
came first in her life. She
once helped Butte Creek
Grade school cook 16 pies
for a fund raiser and 18
pies for a friends’ son’s
wedding. She and Marvin
hosted 39 family re-
unions. They enjoyed en-
tertaining all of their
friends and having pot-
lucks and get-togethers.
She enjoyed horse back
riding, clamming, fishing,
and reading. She had been
a secretary for 37 years.
She is survived by her
husband, Marvin Brown;
her sisters Earlene Ear-
tlet and Sherri Aispurio;
four nieces, two nephews;
daughter
Tanya(Tom)
Stutzman and son Troy
(Ella) Brown; five grand-
children: Tori and Ty
Stutzman, Bailey, Lillian
and Dana Brown.
Memorial funds can be
sent to Washed Ashore in
Bandon and Willamette
Hospice Center.
A memorial service
will be held at 11 a.m., Sat-
urday, Aug. 20, 2016, at
Trinity Lutheran Church
in Mt. Angel.
