GLOCKENSPIEL GETS A NEW HOLIDAY LOOK Local artists have carved six wooden figures representing different branches of the military, which will be temporarily displayed in Mt. Angel’s Glockenspiel. The military statues will be installed on Friday, July 1, but won’t be officially un- veiled until after the Monday, July 4 parade, which begins at 11 a.m. in Mt. Angel. The buttons and medals on the Marine statue are from an authentic uniform. Six carved wooden figures will temporarily replace the carvings in Glockenspiel beginning July 4.
