A great deal of corn, choice ap

from Warren daily by the farmers.
A surprise party was given last
Friday night at the home of Miss

were present and enjoyed a very
pleasant evening.
No better peaches could be found

beauties.

Mrs. Wilson's personality is such

First One for Wilson
I cannot vote for Taft for the
following reasons. He was elect
ed on a Tariff reduction platform
and immediately used his in
fluence to raise its worst features.
He assumed the role of a Czar
by reading out of the party all
Congressmen who voted against
his wishes and deprived them of
all patronage. In our own state
only men who belong to the party
which is discredited at every
election, get the offices. In every
case of official corruption his in
fluence has been in favor of the
wrongdoer. When his adminis
tration was discredited in 1910 he
could not see it. Even the Bru
tal Police of Lawrence. Mass.,
clubbing children back to starva
tion in the attempt to force their
father to work at $1.00 a day,
on the highest protected indus
try, did not prevent him from
vetoing the wool Bill under the
pretence of assisting American
Labor. When every Republican
Primary Election rejected him
pereonaly at this election, he
did not hesitate to prostitute his
high office to corrupt the conven
tion for his personal gain. His
whole administration has been
devoted to the assistance of Pre
datory wealth and against all
needed reforms and can only be
understood on the belief that
whom the Cods wish to destroy
' they first made mad.
When Roosevelt left the Presi
uency there was no man more
honored in the world. Then it
became known that he allowed
Perkins & Co., to steal the Ten
nessee Coal Co., and enabled
them to clear 50 millions against
all law or justice.
If he had said he was'deceived
he still would have held the re
spect of the nation. But he says
he would do itagain'and Perkins

nopes or iuiure lavors, is now
his chief supporter. I don't look
to either of the candidates alone,
I also look to their chief support
ers, Perkins, Flynn, McCormick
and Ormsby, McIIarg, who
short time ago came to Oregon
to debauch the legislature and
get our representives to perjure
themselves. Either of these two
candidates are willing to wreck
the party or even the country
with their rule or ruin policy. If
Roosevelt had the good of the
party or the reform meas
ures he has now adopted at
heart he could have had any of
the able mtn who have been
fighting for refym, before he
even dreamed of supporting
them, nominated at Chicago.
Any or e of these men would have
carried the party to an honorable
victcry.
The Democrats since getting
contfol of the House, have with
the I eip of Progressive Republi
cs rs, teen engaged in passing

fend circulation by special method
which have proved unusually suc
cessful. Salary and Commission.
