Whereas, the City Engineer ol the
City of St Helens, Oiegun, haa divided
said City into rewer districts, in accord
ance with the natural topography of the
several additions, block and lota com
prUing said City, ol which the herein
after described district is and shall be
known aa Sewer Diatrict No, 2, ol said
City, and in relation there to has fur
nished such recommendations, msps snd
illustrations aa are needed fur tbe guid
ance of the Common Council of sid City;
And whereas, said District embraaes a
large number ot inhabitant and resi
dent, and ia utterly without any sys
tem of sewersgeor drainagx;
And whereat, there ia giave appre
hension of an epidemic of sickness fioin
tbe want of proper sewer facilities iu
aid District;
And whereas, in the opinion of the
Common Council of said City a well aa
in tbe judgment of the hearth officer of

sary for the health and convenience of

press it, all of which will seriously and
directly endanger the public i'nc,
health and aafety of tbe city and es
pecially of said District, and Whereas, it
is urgent that thei-e conditions I obvia
ted and remedied, (or the preservation
of the public peace, health and safety of
the Cit, thia ordinance shall be in fn:l
force and effect from and after its ap
proval by the Mayor of said City.

Section 1. Any person who shsll
maliciously, wantonly or willfully
cut. break down, displace, interfere
with, alter, injure, destroy or
lest, any fire alarm box, fire slim
wire, fire alarm bell or nny porti
whatever of the fire alarm syatea,
of the City of St. Helens, Orcgos,
; or who shall molest, Injure or o
; stroy, any polo, property or appar
atus belonging to said system or up-
on which or within which the sum
or any part thereof is attached;
who aids, asitiaU. agrees with, em
ploys, or conspires with any person
