dont know as we care to have

City Ticket
A mans meeting of the voters
of St lit lens was held at the City
nail laHt Monday night for the
purpo8c of nominating a ticket
for the election to be held on
April 1st. About 100 voters were
present and the contests for
some of the offices were quite
spirited.
Martin White was the only
J name prolKj8ed for Mayor and he
w 88 wciarecl to be the unanimous
.choice for that office. For Coun
cilmen there were several names
proposed but when the count
was completed it wai found that
Von A. Gray and W.lbur Muckle
hadhe largest vote and they
were declared to be the choice
for Co.incilmen for two years.
For Treasurer several ballots
were necessary to name the
choice, W. A. Harris finally winn
ing out over L. U. Rutherford
and 11. S. llattan. U. S. Dspain
was the unanimous choice for
Water Commisaioner. After the
voting for city officers was over
there relnained about CO people
J and it was thought to be a good
I time to sret the sentiment of the
voters on choice for President so
every man present v r.i given a

name of his choice, whether
