Mr. Webb of the Columbia Iron
& Steel Co. was In St. Helens Sat
urday purchasing lumber for the
o I flee buildings and making arrange
menu for the commencement of
work on the iron smelter. Within
a few weeks work will be going in
full blast on the furnace and it is
the intention to have tho plant in
"Miration by July 1st.
The St. Helens Commercial Club
will hold a meeting at the Council
nmniU-rs in the City Hall on Fri
'!' night at 8 o'clock and a full
attendance is desired. Matters of

False Advertising
A merchant in Portland advertised
that he hod bought a stock as re-
ceiver from a firm that had failed
and that he had bought the stock
for 41 cents or. the dollar and paid
$6600 for it. He was arrested for
inserting a fulite advertisement in
tho pa in and the fact were that
he only paid $'J0 for the stock and
that the firm had not failed. He
was convicts! and fined $50.00 for
'. at tho county seat on Monday.

rivers, in the State of Oregon, with

quented by salmon fish, and for the

the said State Board of Fish and
