HOP CROP LARGE AND GOOD.
Scarcety of Labor May Prevent Some
Being Harvested.
Eugene The hop crop about Eu
gene this year is large and of fine qual
ity, but the help is ao scarce that it is
doubtful if some of the growers will
be able to harvest their crop. Hop
picking ia now in full blast in the most
important yards, and on account of
the dry weather the hope have develop
ed to a large size with very few leave,
so that picking ia easy. In the Rob
ert Have yard 150 more pickers could
be used to advantage, and unless some
unforeseen circumstance relieve the
ituation some of tho hop in this yard
cannot be harvested.
