trial of Patrick Calhoun, charged with
offering a member of the board of su

talesmen was summoned and the ex
animation of prospective jurors was
tesumed. During the first part of the
tiial, which was postponed on account
of the impending municipal election,

Prince Miguel Is Sued.
Buda Pest, Pec. 7. According to
the newspapers, a syndicate of credi
tors has sued Prince Miguel of Brag
a ii .a. who married Mis Anita Htew
art of New Vork last September, for
1,000,000. Some years ago, a paper
says, Prince Miguel was in financial
straits snd the syndicate advanced
him a large sum, payable when he
should make a rich marriage. The
claim is so great that following nego
tiations that resolted in his marriage
to Miss Anita Htnwart, the prince
promised to recoup the syndicate with
one fifth of the dowry.

Missing Bosenjack Seen.
Cherry, III., Dee, fl Admission late
today by Fred II. Buck, clerk in the
office of the St. Paul Mining company,
that he had seen and talked with Alex
ander Kosenjack, the missing witness
who, it is believed, can clear up the
cause of the recent mine disaster, came
as a climax to a day of interesting
developments in the investigations by
the coroner and the state investigat
ing committee. Buck told the jury
that he had seen Jtosenjaek la Cherry
last night, and made no effort to ad
vis the authorities of hi whereabouts.
