It is proposed to have the celebration
at Oasis Park, adjoining the baseball
grounds, an I nearly midway between
the business portions of the two com
munities. There will be all kinds ot sports, in
cluding baseball, foot taces, boxing and
wrestling; and there wilt be a dancing
pavilion where tiiose so inclined may
trip the light fantastic from dinner
time on the fifth to the early morning
hours of the sixth. It is going to be
the biggest and best celebration ever
held in Columbia County.

daughter still survives and is the wife of

Mr. and Mrs. Kidgeway lived in Ohio
until ISrti when thty removed to ltenton
county. Iowa. Here they resided until
1S!U when they came to Columbia
county, Oregon, removing to Red ISIuff
in the apriug of IW7. Mr. Ridgeway had
just purchased tint Kutledge place, one
mile east of tow n and had moved on it J
May W. May Mrs. Uidgoway bad a
stroke of paralysis from which she never
rallied, dying on the morning of June 1.
