daughter, Mrs. Abbie Abel, in this city,

ent was the daughter of Jonathan Moar
and wile, two well known pioneers of
Sauv e Island. Mrs. Clement was born
on Snuviej Inland on July 4, 1X01, and
had resided there continuously up to a
J few weeks before her death, when she
was removed to the hon.e of Mrs. Abel.
Besides her husband, Dixie Clement, she
is survived by three ch ldreu, Mrs. Atxd,
of St. Helviit, Mrs. Anna MuIIiru of Car-

Mrs. Bertha V. Ballngh was born at
Brookfield, Washington, on the 2itU day

She resided at Brookfield until about six
years ago, and was married in Vancouver,

Mrs. Ballagh came to St: Helen the 23d
dav of last March, he havina been sssien'
ed to this place as agent of the Columbia
River Packer's Association. The funeral
occurred from the Grace Episcopal church
Saturday, November , 14th, 'Alftiough
Mrs. Ballagh had been a resident of St
Helens but a few mouths she had won
high place in the esteem ol tb.4 com
munity and made many sincere friends
who will sympathise sincerely with Mr
Ballagh in his loss ol a congenial and
lovinir helnmate.
