Another iniiovminn to be enforced at
that time is a decided incrcise in the
life insurance rate of the jnrder. This
Increase will amount in ome instances,
as with the younger ages, to nearly 100
per cent, and will average throughout
uImiiiI ISO per cent.
This increase was determined upon
at the meeting of the head camp of the
Woodman ot (ho World held last Aug
list in Cripple Creek, Colo, llns step j
was thought to be necessary, from a
j careful study of the guneral scheme ol
life insurance, in order to give perma
nency to the institution ami put it on
the solid foundation enjoyed by the old
line companies. T(io excessive cheap
ness oi the old rntcs, under which the!
organisation has grown to a large
strength, were found to be equal to only
a temporary existence. This new plan
ol increased asaessiuents is to apply to
new members only, those joining the
order after the tlrst of tho year. The
assessment of the old member is not
affected by the change.
