Fire which broke out at Rainier Fii-
day morning destroyed the sash and
door factory of W. D. Plue and a lodg
ing house owned bv Joseph Silvft, en
tailing a loss of $i8"u wi,h II--000 in
surance. The tiie was diacovered at
6:15 a. m. In the dry kiln at the ksnIi
and door factory, destroying the entire
plant. The lodging house that burned
was occupied by M,rs,. 0. W. 'Herman.
The town fire brigade turned out and
siicceedel in saving the. ilyiiung prop
erty but the fire at the factory was so
far.'advanced that it could not be git
under rnntrol. The blaze us a fierce
put true in ! one and the heat wsniilaaralie a block

loss on tho mill building, w hich was
owned by Dean Blanchanl, waa $'.'500,
with no insurance, while the loan oii tiie

ance. Mr. Plue had heretofore arranged
to build a plant in addition tn the one
that waa destroyed and had already se
lected the site for it. A new plant with
larger capa,e!y will probably be erected.
