The ocean steamer Columbia and
Elder wiil burn oil for fuel as goon as

out of San Francisco carries oil enough
to steam 10,000 miles in the same space
that would be required for three times
the quanity of coal. Not only is there

extra space for freight, bni the fuel is

she was changed from a coal burner to
an oil burner the crew of 20-firemen

with the Milton Grange at Houlton on
