For an Editor to Recommend Pat
ent Medicines?
From Sylvan Valley Kewa. Brevad, S. C.
It may be i question whether the edi
tor has the .-iglit to publicly recommend
any of tt various proprietary medicines
men nooa toe market, yet aa a preven
tative of suffering we feel it duty to
say a good word for Chamberlain's Colic,
Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy. We
have known and used this medicine in J
our family for twenty years and have
always found it reliable. In many cases I
a dose of this remedy would save hours I
ot suffering while a pbvsician is awaited.
We do not believe in depending implic
itly on any meuicine ior a cure, tint wa
do believe that if a bottle of Chamber
lain's Diarrhoea Remedv were kent on
hand and administered at the inception
of an attack much suffering might be
avoided and in verv nianr cases the ores-
ence of a physician would not be re
quired. At least this has been our ex
perience during the past twenty years.
