Ed Mriin,at out time county clerk
of Columbia county and well known
to most of our people, died at On
tario, Malheur county, Monday.
Mrs. Rhodie Noah, of thi place, was
taken in ihe nigbt with cramping
pains and the next day diarrhoea tel
in. She took half a bottle of black
berry cordial but got no relief. She
then sent to me to see if I had any
thing that would help her. I tent her
a bottle of Chamberlain's Colic, Chol
era and Diarrhoea Keinedy and the
first dose relieved her. Another of
our neighbors had been tick for about
a week and bad tried different reme
dies for diarrhoea but kept getting
worse. I sent him thia same remedy.
Only four doses ot it were required to
cure him. He aaya he owe his re
covery to thi wonderful remedy.

The water company bave decided to
run their steam pump in tbe evening
from O to V o clock for the use of per
sona who desire to irrigate their lawns,
and also for the purpose of sprinkling
tbe itreeta. While the pump is run
ning the main from the reservoir will
be shut off and opened immediately
after the pumping stops. There will
be no extra expo.iee to water con
sumers. This arrangement waa von
sumated while Mr. Orchard was in
the city yesterday, and no doubt will
prove satisfactory.
Laat lummer one of our grand chil
dren wa sick with a severe bowel
trouble. Our doctor's lemedies bad
failed, then we tried Chamberlain's
Colic, Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy,
which gave very speedy relief. We
regard it as the best medicine ever put
on the market for bowel complaints.-
Mra. E. O. Gregory, Frederickstown,
Mo. This certainly is the beat medi
cine ever put on Ihe market for dysen
tery, summer complaint, colic and
cholera infantum in children. It never
fails to give prompt relief when used
in reasonable time and tbe plaio
printed directions are followed. Many
mothers bave expressed their sincere
gratitude for the cures it has effected
