Mr. Allen replied in support of the reso

Tbe cantata called "The Dairymaid's
Supper" waa given In Conyers' ball last
Friday evening by a musical party of some
twenty-five young ladies and gentlemen.
It gave the audience a sprightly snd varied
programme, Introducing a march lasting
several minutes, where several military
movement were executed in true military
atyle, under the leadership of Prof. Whit-
ten. Tbta waa followed by a stool drill,
where ths manual of arms wss practiced,

over the pump, with the suggestion of a
mustache under it, and a young; man's
