Pacific Coast Gun Factory. ,
Washington, Nov. 21. Senator
Dolph haa filed with the war depart
ment a letter in relation to the ap
pointment of a board to examine and
report upon a site for a gun factory on
the Pacific coast. He requests that
care bo taken in the selection of the
officers, that they may not be preju
diced in favor of one site aa againt
another. This precaution, he aay, is
ruii-timiltirlv necessary, beacuse some
officer have privately expressed their
