legislature for the purpsose of foster­
ing the development of tourist travel
in Oregon, began its activities this
week
Governor Olcott has appointed the
following committee to direct the
work of the bureau: Leslie Butler.
Hood River, chairman: Cameron

treasurer; George T Collins. Med­
ford: George Lawrence. Jr Portland
and Wallace C. Bir 2sall, Bend.
The committee has selected as
manager of the bur ut Sydn v B.
Vincent who has made a study of
the development of tourist travel,
and who, during his regime as man­
ager of the pucliclty bureau of the
Portland Chamber of Commerce,
furnished numerous articles descrip­
tive of Oregon « scenery to various
magazines throughout this country
and abroad.
