Tarhell hns Just re ceived the sad news of the death of her sister, Mrs. Wrburt Kelly. Mrs. Kelly was formerly Miss Fage nna spent her life in Maine. Louis W. Boesol arrived home last Friday after spending nearly two yer.rs with Uncle Sam. Louie Is the picture of health and is feel ing fine. He was in the commlssar department. Sherman Miles is becoming effi cient In ranching. Practical exper ience Is a good teacher. He now knows when a hen wants to sit and by the aid of his many pood neigh bors. Is quietly acquiring the knowl edge th.-.t make an intensive farmer. The Warren home guards met on Monday evening at the hall anu discussed the advisability of dis banding, which will be accomplished r,t a future date. A public commun ity home-coming will be given the Warren boys as soon as the two that are not yet muste-ed out, arrive. Every organization in the district will co-operate. Saturday's meeting of the grange was exceptionally veil attended and important matters were - discussed and decided upon. A membership drive was inaugurated in which P. H. Lund and A. H. Anliker Is a road builder who understands . his business and has r.ccompllshed much in this district. The Warren Construct Inn company who have the contract for paving the highway between Deer Inland and Helena, will esttblish a large camp here. Their head engineer Ims beeu here making the necessary arrange ments and he states they will have a paving plant and rock quarry In operation in the near future. the members of the grange and a keen interest is being taken in the outcome. The team having the great est number of applications for mem. bership by June 14 is to be the guests at an entertainment and sup per to be paid for by the losing Bide. The entire membership of the or ganization will participate. Thero are a goodly number of farmers who are not members of the grange and an effort will be made to have ever enterprising farmer in Warren and Bachelor Flats as members. There are over 600 people in the district that ere eligible ; s members and a united effort will be mnde to securo nearly all of them. Watts, with his little axe. Other help soon follow ed. They did good work and suc ceeded in cutting off the fire from the remaining buildings, aB the wind was high and carried burning cinders a long way.
