merriment, while a delicious lunch

McCormlck yards who live on the

going to and from their work on their

Vomer Shufer, who recently pur
chased and with his wlfo now occupy

left there about two months ago

to Jarvla Davis broke down the bar
riers of Its enclosure and took a Bhorl
cut across lots Into the pen of a hog
owned by Clarence Mnsten. Tho two
engaged In a pitched buttle, which
they fought to the finish of both. One
died Immediately while the other
lived about two days longer. Both
were registered Poland Chinas and
their owners say that their value was

Tho large audience at the Gem
theatre Sunday night was disappoint
ed in not seeing the photo play "Re
demption," which was advertised to
be shown. Monday morning Mr.
Brinn received the following tele
gram, which Is self explanatory:
"Seattle, Wash., Dec. 16. The Gem
Theatre, St. Helens, Oregon. "Re
demption films destroyed by fire. Im
possible to get another print. Delux
Feature Film Co." The message,
while sent Sunday afternoon, was not
delivered until Monday morning,
consequently Mr. Brinn did not know
the films would not arrive until the
receipt of the telegram, a fact he re
grets very much.
