He has resided la Oregon many years, and had been employed near Si. Hel ms about 30 year, For many year ho was in the railway service. Mr lionnell went to Scappoose about ten years ago, where be tended tho log ging railroad tower. Deceased ? married to Mrs. Gus'.io Pearson In ; 1911. He was a member of Cortland Tent No. 1, of the Maccabees. Decides his bereaved wife he leaves a cister la Tacoma and a stepson. His other relatives are living In the east The fuoerrl services were conduct- I'd from the Congregational church at 2 p. m.. Rev. Johnston officiating. Music was rendered by the Congre gational church choir. A large con course of friends followed the re mains to Knlrvlew cemetery, where they were laid to rest under a profu blun of beautiful lowers, which rep-' resented the kind thoughts of sym-, pathetic friends. The record keeper of Portland Tent No. 1, George D. Baker, attended the funeral as a representative of tlu order and presented an elegaut wreath from that order. Another beautiful wreath wag sent by .Mr. McNaughton and Mr. Hopworth as a token of respect from the Nelialem Timber & Lobbing Company and the Southwestern Railroad Company. This la a favorite stopping place for the traveler and is perhaps the heat viewpoint along the entire route. U An Ordinance relating to Intoxicat ing liquor, prohibiting the sale thereof, or the soliciting and tak ing orders therefor. Its carriage to or possession at dances, dance halls or other public gatherings, and the maintaining of a locker or club room, or any private place where such liquor Is kept for beverage purposes, prohibiting drunkenness, and the possession of liquor by any person within the corporate limits of the City of St. Helens. Tho City of St. Helens does ordain as follows: Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person to solicit, take or receive, within the corporate limits of the City of St. Helens, Oregon, any order for intoxicating liquor, or make any contract for the sale of any Intoxi cating liquor, except in cases where tho sale of said liquor, within the State, is permitted. Section 2. It shall be unlawful for any person to give away or fur nish any intoxicating liquor to any person or persons within the corpor- 1 ate limits of the City of St. Helens, Oregon, or to recclvo or take any-1 thing of value for the same. Section 3. It shall be unlawful i for any person directly or Indirectly, to keep or maintain by himself, or by associating or combining with others, or in any manner to aid, assist, or abet in keeping or main taining any locker, room, club room, or other similar place within the cor porate limits of the City of St. Hel ens, Oregon, in which intoxicating liquors are received, or kept for the purpose of use, gift, barter, or sale as a beverage, and it shall be unlaw ful for any person to use, barter, sell or give away, or assist or abet another In bartering, selling or giv ing away any Intoxicating liquors so received or kept. Section 4. It shall be unlawful for any person to carry Intoxicating liquor to any dance, or dance hall, or other public gathering or to have intoxicating liquor In his possesson at any such dance, dance hall or other public gathering within the corporate limits of the City of St. Helens, Oregon. Section 5. It shall he unlawful for any person to enter or he found In a state of intoxication or to drink intoxicating liquor of any kind, as a beverage, in or upon any engine, cars, train of cars, bout, landing, wharf, or depot within the City of A.
